Two months old!

We saw another baby boy at the mall today, his parents asked how old our baby was, they were surprised when we said two months. Their baby was half the size of Justice and a whole month older! Justice has a check-up on Monday and we find out just how big he is, but I bet he weighs at least 15 pounds. He wears 3-6 month size clothes and keeps pooping out his diapers!

April 20, 2009 Happy Birthday Dad!!!

Milkshakes and magicbars

Busy day! John had school in the morning, and school in the evening, and he had drill the weekend before his birthday. He did take the day off from work, but he worked on the wall in the basement in between school. I felt bad because he didn't get much of a celebration, but we did do magic bars and milkshakes before his evening classes. He bought himself some gun accessories, Liberty bought him a box of candy and a deck of cards from the dollar store, parents, and his sister Amanda sent cards with money, and his little brother Ben bought Chinese for the whole family. Patriot made a donation to the newly established x-box fund for Johns birthday. Uncle Ben is moving out on the 27th of April and taking his x-box with him so Patriot and John started a fund to save up money for their own game system! Happy Birthday Dad, We love you!!!

April 16, 2009 Snow!

We were thinking that spring had finally sprung in Utah and then mother nature sent us this. The snow was so wet and heavy that trees and branches all over the city were falling under the weight!

Patriot and Liberty love to have their pictures taken, for any reason. They also both love to pick dandelions for me, so sweet. Liberty asked me to take a picture of her with the dandelions that she picked for me, she is so cute I just can't say no to that. I also am so grateful for every single dandelion that they pick for me, I simply wait until they forget about them or go to bed, and then I throw them away!

Happy Easter 2009

Easter Outfits from Grandma Pyne!

Bikes from the Easter Bunny!!! There is actually a pretty good story behind the acquisition of Liberty's adorable Barbie bike. A soldier in John's Unit owned a motorcycle, but sometime last fall he wrecked it, he was of course pretty bummed about it. The other soldiers in his platoon decided to pool their money and get him a replacement bike, what nice guys! So at the Unit Christmas party they presented him with this adorable Barbie bike, and a big purple cape to go with it! It was hilarious, and after the joke was over, we inherited the bike! We saved it in our storage unit until Easter time and bought Patriot a bike so they could ride together, they both love their bikes, and we love that we only had to buy one of them!

What a beautiful spring day! We had a wonderful Easter morning, and church was pretty good too, but Justices diaper leaked all over me in Sunday school, I had to run home cause my skirt was covered in yellow poop! Later we had Tom and Emily, and Ben and Whitney over for Easter dinner. It is nice to be surrounded by family, and we played the Disney scene it game, super fun!!

Liberty

Liberty is a sweet and loving girl. She loves to have people around her all the time. She loves her preschool class, this is a picture of a plant she grew from a seed at preschool. My favorite thing that Liberty does is when she gets all dressed up in a fairy or princess costume and dances all over the house. She really is a natural at dance and with a little instruction could really be good, I hope to put her in ballet next year. My next favorite thing about Libby is that she is so good at cleaning the bathroom, and loves to do it!

Patriot

Patriot is such a good boy, he has his moments to be sure, but most of the time he is obedient and loving. He loves to be out and playing, but like in this picture he is also good at simply entertaining himself with the simplest of objects. He used to play with his clothes hangers all the time, pretending that they were planes, I haven't seen him do that in awhile, maybe he grew out of it. I don't know what grand adventures Patriot was going on with the small orange lizard he was playing with in this picture, but he just looked so cute to me lying there in the sun, lost in his own little world that is much more exciting and interesting than this one. When I first grabbed the camera to take this picture, Rocky was laying next to PJ, but he got up and left before I could get the shot. He is a beautiful dog, but I don't feel any keen desire to photograph him unless he is doing something cute with the kids, the only reason we have him is to enrich their childhood,

March 25, 2009 Growing everyday!

Little mother

Liberty is so good with her baby brother! She loves to take care of him. Justice doesn't sleep as much as I think a newborn should, but at least he has Libby to read to him! She wanted to read some books to Justice so I laid him down on her bed, he stared intently at those books till she was all done 'reading'. What a great helper I have!

The boys

Justice was 10 lbs at his two week appt. gaining about half a pound since birth, but growing 2 inches! Patriot was only 6 lbs 13 oz when he was born, but he gained nearly one and a half pounds in that first two weeks, weighing 8 lbs 4 oz at his first doctor appt., but he only gained a half inch in length! How we love to watch out children grow! It is fun to see ways they are similar, and ways they are different.

Kindergarten Program!

Patriot had his Kindergarten program on March 6th, so his grandparents were able to come and see him perform! He did a great job, all the kids did, the program was very well put together, and the songs they sang were great! Still can't believe how grown up my Patriot is, I guess I must be getting older too if my first born will be in first grade next year.

With the Grandparents. G&G Atkin are on the left, and G&G Pyne are on the right.

A full house is a happy house!

John did a great job providing voice to a beautiful blessing. I did have an adorable blessing outfit that my mother made for Patriot, (even using some of the satin left over from when she made my wedding dress), but much to my sorrow I couldn't find it anywhere. John's sweet mother went shopping with me the day before the blessing and bought this wonderful substitute, complete with pageboy hat.

Blessing Day

March 7, 2009 We blessed our little Justice when he was just 10 days old! Both of our other kids have been at least a month, but they were all blessed at home. Grandparents on both sides just happened to be coming up to Utah at the same time so we decided to bless Justice while they were here. We had a nice little get together with my sister Jessica and her kids, (Jason was on call and unable to come) my sister Emily and her husband Tom, (they are expecting a baby girl in September!) My brother Tyler and his family, John's brother Ben, and both sets of grandparents. We missed being able to have all of our siblings here, and John's Grandma Joyce, but here are some pictures so all can see our beautiful little boy.

kids!!

Liberty is so excited to be a big sister! She really wanted to have a baby sister, but once Justice was here she was just excited to have a baby in the family, especially one with her same cheeks!

Patriot is also super excited about baby Justice, but at the hospital he just wanted to take pictures! He took several, and this one that was actually quite good. I recovered pretty quickly considering how huge Justice was, feeling pretty good even in the hospital. . I stayed in the hospital for two days so I could have people waiting on me for as long as possible. It was nice to have my meals brought right to my bed, and the food wasn't that bad cause I was always so hungry, but it was so nice to go home!

Welcome home baby Justice! Yes this is a newborn size outfit and he does fit into it, but the newborn size socks I brought to the hospital for him to wear home were too small! Justice is so cute we all love to just sit and look at him. He is laying on the blanket that his Grandma Atkin crocheted for him, she has made one for all of my kids, and they have all loved them the best.

My three blue eyed kids!
